Andy’s Conviction

Wyandot County Courthouse

Please call ahead to check on availability before visiting the Courthouse.

It may chill your blood to stand where Andy Dufresne stood and received two back-to-back life sentences!  The question of Andy’s innocence hangs in the air: did he really shoot his wife and her lover? Come explore the room featured in the opening scenes of what can safely be called the world’s favorite movie!

This location is approximately 45 minutes west of Mansfield, Ohio and a little over an hour’s drive from Ashland, Ohio.
